Today we are officially 18 weeks and starting month 5. Yay! If God wills it, we will have a doctor appointment next Friday and may find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I can't believe we are already to that point!
The baby was having a party in the womb last night. I don't know if it liked my singing, my dancing, the two cups of hot chocolate, or the fact that it was the Feast of the Annunciation (always cause to celebrate!) but the baby was definitely getting its groove on. Chris even felt it thump a little (although he joked he might have just felt my gas bubbles).
My mom has patterns for making stuffed animals and so I tried out my sewing skills. Chris picked out the bear pattern to be used (of course) and as you can see it turned out cute and silly looking at the same time. :) If the baby ends up being a girl I will have to add some flowers to the bow or put a bow on its head or something.
So here is what's going on this week of the pregnancy: "At 5 1/2 inches long and about 5 ounces in weight (about as much as that chicken breast you're having for dinner, but a lot cuter), your baby is filling out nicely and getting large enough that you might even be feeling those twists, rolls, kicks, and punches he or she is perfecting. Another set of skills your baby is mastering now is yawning and hiccuping (you might even begin to feel those hiccups soon!). And your one-of-a-kind baby is truly one of a kind now, complete with unique fingerprints on his or her fingertips and toes." -What to Expect When You're Expecting
Please keep us and our baby in your prayers. Everything is in God's hands. :)
